Medical Waste

Medical waste and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a huge waste flow in itself and it was certainly not reduced during the Covid 19 pandemic, but rather has surged and remained on a significantly higher level than before the pandemic. The problem with medical waste is that it is often highly contaminated, and therefore requires very high temperatures in the recycling process to ensure that various biological agents do not slip through the net. Pyrolysis is one of the few recycling technologies, if not the only one, that can ensure that such temperatures are applied to the materials.
